That slip up means Barcelona no longer sit atop the standings, as wins by Real Madrid and Girona saw both teams leapfrog the Catalan side. However, it's Girona who surprisingly sit atop the table, with Real Madrid one point back and Barcelona two points adrift.
Sevilla, meanwhile, sit 12th and enter Friday's match with momentum following a 5-1 drubbing of Almeria.

Pedri remains out of action for Barcelona but he is edging closer to his return from injury. The same cannot be said for Frenkie de Jong, who is facing around six weeks out with an ankle injury. Robert Lewandowski is set to return, with Jules Kounde also returning.
Sevilla are missing some important players with Oliver Torres, Marcao, Tanguy Nianzou and Alfonso Pastor all missing out, but Mariano Diaz and Marcos Acuna should be coming back into the fray after fitness issues. Sergio Ramos and former Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic are in line to make returns to the starting eleven.
